Her birth name has not been confirmed by reliable press sources; some fan-oriented biography sites assert that "Stalk Ashley" is her real name, but this has not been independently verified through outlets such as DancehallMag or established music press, so it is treated here as unconfirmed.

She studied media and communications before leaving school at 19 to relocate to Kingston and pursue music seriously. She had been writing and performing for years prior, gaining early notice around 2018 through her association with fellow artist Jada Kingdom, before releasing her official debut single, "Young," in 2019. The track, along with early releases like "Sin Sex" and "OPEN," established her signature fusion of lo-fi R&B production, Jamaican patois, and dancehall and reggae rhythm — a sound she has described as resistant to being boxed into one genre.
