Accessibility Statement

Dancehall Museum is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all visitors, including people with disabilities. As a cultural archive, we believe access to Jamaica's dancehall history should be as open as possible.

Our Approach

We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where practical. This includes attention to semantic page structure, keyboard navigability, color contrast, descriptive text for images, and a "skip to content" link on every page.

Ongoing Work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time fix. As the archive grows, we continue to review and improve the Site's accessibility, including alt text for archival photography and media.
