Full biography

Tina Pinnock, later known mononymously as Tina and previously performing as HoodCelebrityy, was born in Portmore, Jamaica, on 5 July 1991. She migrated to the Bronx, New York, at age twelve. Before pursuing music, she worked at a clothing store on Fordham Road, and her stage name grew out of the reputation she built with customers and in her neighborhood.

Her breakthrough came in 2015 when Cardi B, then a friend and later a collaborator, posted about her song "Wine Pon It," which subsequently went viral. Signed to Epic Records, she released two mixtapes in 2017, Can't Believe It's Just a Girl and Trap Vs. Reggae, the latter of which peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart.

Her 2017 single "Walking Trophy" reached number 22 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, cementing her position at the intersection of dancehall, trap, and hip-hop. She later began performing under the name Tina.
