Full biography
Wayne Omar Mitchell, known professionally as Wayne Marshall, was born on 9 April 1980 and attended Wolmer's Trust High School for Boys in Kingston. He is most notable for his extensive collaborations with Sean Paul, Elephant Man, and Beenie Man across the 2000s dancehall scene.
His debut solo album, Marshall Law, was released by VP Records in 2003 and drew critical notice for its strong hip-hop influences layered over dancehall rhythms. He followed it with Forbidden Fruit the next year, and Tru Story!, released via Federation Sound, in 2008.
In 2009 Marshall was featured on the dancehall remix of Jamie Foxx's "Blame It." That same year he married fellow reggae and dancehall artist Tami Chynn.
