Kiprich

Marlon Jaro Plunkett, known as Kiprich and formerly as Crazy Kid, was born on 2 March 1979 in Linstead, St. Catherine, and raised in the Waterhouse district of Kingston. He was still a student at Ardenne High School when he scored his first hit, "Leggo Di Bwoi," a collaboration with Chino.

Like his mentor Elephant Man, Kiprich is a member of The Alliance, a Kingston-based collective of gangsta-themed deejays. He wrote the lyrics for Elephant Man's "Jook Gal," whose remix — featuring Kiprich, Lil Jon, and the East Side Boyz — charted internationally in 2003.

His biggest solo hit came with "Telephone Ting," followed by "The Letter." Kiprich became known for a comic performance style and for pointed songs aimed at fellow deejays, including "Talk," directed at Elephant Man, Beenie Man, and Vybz Kartel, and "Ca'an Get Brown," aimed at Vybz Kartel.
