Don Corleon

Don Corleon, born Donovan Bennett on September 24, 1978, in Manchester, Jamaica, is a record producer, songwriter, and mixer working across reggae, dancehall, pop, R&B, and reggaeton. His career began in 2000 with the launch of the Vendetta Sound System alongside his cousin, the reggae artist Protoje.

Operating under the Don Corleon Records imprint, Bennett built a reputation for balancing hard-edged dancehall riddims with a cleaner, more melodic sensibility. Among his best-known productions are the 'Drop Leaf' riddim, which carried T.O.K.'s "Footprints"; the 'Seasons' riddim, featured on Sean Paul's "Never Gonna Be the Same"; the 'Istanbul' riddim; and 'High Altitude,' the instrumental behind Rihanna's 2006 single "Break It Off" featuring Sean Paul.

His production and songwriting credits extend to Migos, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Shaggy, and Romeo Santos, alongside longstanding dancehall and reggae collaborators such as Jah Cure, Sizzla, Tarrus Riley, Vybz Kartel, and Bounty Killer. His work has been documented in reggae historiography including the 2012 oral history Solid Foundation, reflecting his standing as one of the defining production names of 2000s-era dancehall.
