Chris Marshall

Adrian Christopher Marshall, known professionally as Chris Marshall (and also as Chris Marsh and Izes), was born in Linstead, Jamaica, and educated at St. Mary High and McGrath High in St. Catherine. He began producing and performing on local concerts at age twelve.

He is best known as a co-writer of Sean Paul's "Temperature," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006 and won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording (also reported as Dance Song of the Year) in 2007. As a songwriter and producer working across reggae and dancehall, Marshall has continued to place his material with international artists, including Angolan singer Anselmo Ralph and Brazilian star Anitta, contributing to her single "Tu y Yo."

Marshall's work sits primarily behind the scenes as a writer-producer rather than as a frontline recording artist, and he has also performed as a singjay under his own name.
